Holding Space for Emergence to Continue

Tom Everill and Gervase Busche’s Exchange on Holding Space for Emergence finished its third session but everyone had such a rich time we all decided to continue. This Exchange is for GLEN members and the new ones will be announced probably for the late summer or fall. Tom is former CEO of NW Industries, a company that practiced radical inclusion of disabled people and proved they could compete head-on with other companies. His extensive journals combined with Gervase’s research on leadership is the basis for a new book on Generative Leadership. Tom broke a lot of “rules” to achieve his success–like having meetings with no agendas (heresy!!). We’ll report more later. This exchange is focused on the question of how to get leaders who think they have to be clear and have answers for everything to embrace uncertainty and hold space for new ideas to emerge from the people in the organization.
